ESG Insights – February Issue
Issue 4 of the ESG Insights initiative contains January’s 2022 most noteworthy developments in the ESG ecosystem, across the Greek and international spectrum. In this month’s issue, supranational, institutional and corporate developments aimed at achieving a more environmentally and socially resilient economy are examined. Fourteen unique topics from the international and domestic arena are covered, ranging from the launch of the Climate-Related Stress Tests by the ECB to Nestlé’s initiative to support its cocoa farmers and their societies.
Some key developments included in the February Issue are the announcement of ExxonMobil’s first net-zero objective, the proposal by the European Commission to label natural gas as green and the vocal protests from a number of investors and firms, the distinctions of Mytilineos and OTE Group by Sustainalytics and CDP respectively and the novel resolution from the Greek Government to protect six pristine highland areas.
